Tender Board Awards Additional Projects and Works Worth Over OMR 145.2 Million


The Tender Board, in its first meeting of the year, chaired by H.E. Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board, awarded several tenders and additional complementary works for developmental projects across various sectors, amounting to a total of OMR 145,274,094.

The approved projects include the design and construction of 20 fully integrated school buildings (Phase 1 and 2) across different governorates, valued at OMR 39,711,095, as well as the construction of a multi-purpose port in the Wilayat of Masirah in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, with a cost of OMR 28,612,449. Additionally, the central agreement for Microsoft software licenses for government institutions for three years was approved, amounting to OMR 21,580,376.

Other projects include the supply of laboratory materials for 2025-2026 at OMR 11,796,668, the procurement of consumables for dialysis and protein dialysis supplies worth OMR 15,332,378, and the rehabilitation of the existing road from Hazm Roundabout to Wushail Roundabout in Rustaq, South Al Batinah, at OMR 6,157,608. Furthermore, the board approved the construction of a groundwater recharge dam on Wadi Kid in the Wilayat of Bahla, costing OMR 4,589,841.

Additional awarded works include the dualization of the Daba Road in Musandam at OMR 4,445,851, the supply of medicines for the Ministry of Health at OMR 3,933,096, and the construction of two groundwater recharge dams on Wadi Amda and Wadi Al Ghubaira in the Wilayat of Dima Wa Al-Tayyin in North Al Sharqiyah, at a cost of OMR 3,885,850. The board also approved the supply and installation of medical equipment for the Central Public Health Laboratory at OMR 1,902,329.

Other approved projects include the provision of technical staff for the operation and maintenance of equipment at Rustaq Hospital and affiliated health units in South Al Batinah at OMR 283,327, improvement works for the General Secretariat of the Tender Board building at OMR 244,561, and periodic maintenance of endoscopy devices at the Royal Hospital, valued at OMR 198,549. The board also approved the appointment of a tourism representation company in the UK and Ireland, along with the publication of a book, at a total cost of OMR 283,715.

Additional works approved by the board include design and supervision modifications for the Public Prosecution building project in Muscat, worth OMR 69,536, and additional works for the third and fourth lane expansion on the Rusayl–Nizwa dual carriageway, costing OMR 366,458. Moreover, the board extended the technical support contract for the tax system at OMR 400,000 and approved additional design and implementation works for slope stabilization on the Argoot–Sarfit road in Dhofar Governorate, valued at OMR 164,179.

The board further sanctioned additional consultancy services for supervising the Greater Salalah Structural Plan at OMR 470,035, additional works in the high-speed Oman Government Network management contract at OMR 366,458, the procurement of additional medicines, vaccines, and serums for the Ministry of Health at OMR 315,554, and additional works for the first phase of developing the Al-Hosn area in the Wilayat of Khaboura, at OMR 164,179.​
