The Tender Board awards the number of projects at more than 44 million Omani riyals

At its seventh meeting, the Tender Board awarded a number of development projects related to the needs of citizens and the requirements of development and the economy in several sectors, with a value amounting to 44 million, 389 thousand and 606 Omani riyals.

Among the most important works that the Council agreed to assign and approve during its meeting chaired by His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Tender Board, is completing the implementation of the electromechanical and electromechanical works and equipment related to the facilities of the cargo buildings and the aircraft hangar in the Muscat International and Salalah Airports Development Project, and carrying out the required repairs related to them and operating them. And inspecting the systems and training employees on operating and maintaining the equipment and software present in the project, at a value of 24 million, 589 thousand and 420 Omani riyals.

The Council also approved the assignment of a project to design and construct Wadi Al Maih Road in the Wilayat of Al Amerat in Muscat Governorate, which includes the construction of a road with a length of (8) km and a width of (14) metres, with side shoulders of (2) meters in each direction, in addition to (3) bridges with a length of (400) meters and a tunnel. With a length of (550) meters and (8) concrete boxes and protection works on some sites of the road adjacent to Wadi Al Maih at a value of 19 million 82 thousand and 59 Omani riyals, and renewing the lease contract for the Ministry of Information building in Al Khuwair for one year at an amount of 405 thousand Omani riyals.

Additional work was also awarded to the tender for providing maternity services for patients transferred from Sohar Hospital to health institutions in the private sector in North Al Batinah Governorate (providing maternity services for patients referred from Sohar Hospital to health institutions in the private sector in North Al Batinah Governorate, due to the Ministry of Health’s need to continue providing these services. Services as they are related to health care) in the amount of 221 thousand and 882 Omani riyals and additional works on the tender for providing consulting services for the design and supervision of the Batinah Expressway project (fourth package) in the amount of 91 thousand and 245 Omani riyals.​
