The Tender Board today, in its fourth meeting this year, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board, awarded a number of tenders and additional works complementing development projects in various fields, with a total value of 216 million, 377 thousand and 944 Omani riyals.
The works that the Council approved to assign and adopt during its meeting included the dualization of the Izki-Nizwa road (Qarut South - Birkat Al Mouz - Farq) at a value of 46 million, 874 thousand and 983 Omani riyals, the dualization of the Raysut-Al Mughsail road in Dhofar Governorate at a value of 34 million, 844 thousand and 452 Omani riyals, the completion of the remaining works for the construction project of the Al Ubaila-Al Fayyadh road in Al Buraimi Governorate at a value of 19 million, 487 thousand and 268 Omani riyals, security support works and management of labor care headquarters at a value of 14 million, 784 thousand Omani riyals, and the replacement of old air conditioning units in the schools of the Ministry of Education at a value of 11 million, 583 thousand and 720 Omani riyals.
The works also included the establishment of the resource market in the Wilayat of Sinaw in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate at a value of 9 million, 743 thousand and 854 Omani riyals, the establishment of a flood protection dam on Wadi Al Zahimi in the Wilayat of Liwa in the North Al Batinah Governorate at a value of 9 million, 246 thousand and 99 Omani riyals, the establishment of five bridges on the Sohar-Al Buraimi road at a value of 6 million, 89 thousand and 289 Omani riyals, the supply of the human papillomavirus vaccine at a value of 5 million, 892 thousand and 750 Omani riyals, the provision of maintenance and operation services at the Royal Hospital at a value of 3 million, 454 thousand and 718 Omani riyals, and the supply of computers for the IT subject chains project for first-cycle schools at a value of 4 million, 747 thousand and 452 Omani riyals.
The works approved by the Council included the design and implementation of the Aqbat Afri road between the Wilayat of Samayil and the Wilayat of Izki and an asphalt road in the village of Al-Saqari at a value of 4 million, 596 thousand and 250 Omani riyals, the project to implement the remaining works of the Saih Qatna efficiency improvement project at a value of 4 million, 548 thousand and 712 Omani riyals, providing student transportation services to Sultan Qaboos University for two years at a value of 4 million, 352 thousand and 155 Omani riyals, managing, designing and equipping the global event "Warner Bros" at a value of 4 million, 20 thousand and 580 Omani riyals, and implementing the asphalt road "Saih Al-Khairat - Shisr" in the Governorate of Dhofar at a value of 3 million, 599 thousand and 901 Omani riyals.
The Council approved the provision of housing for students of Sultan Qaboos University at a cost of 3 million, 386 thousand and 880 Omani riyals, the allocation of a television channel within the unified global Arab package at a cost of 2 million, 309 thousand and 902 Omani riyals, the provision of technicians for operation and maintenance at Nizwa Hospital and health units affiliated with the Ministry of Health at a cost of 2 million, 102 thousand and 758 Omani riyals, the electronic printing and correction of exams for students of the General Education Diploma at a cost of 1 million and 450 thousand Omani riyals, the renewal of the maintenance contract for radiology devices in a number of health institutions in various governorates at a cost of 910 thousand and 309 Omani riyals, the project to rent the building of the General Directorate of Specifications and Standards at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion at a cost of 702 thousand and 326 Omani riyals, and the supply of fuel to Muscat Municipality vehicles using smart cards at a cost of 650 thousand Omani riyals.
It also approved the renewal of a contract for renting blood coagulation analysis devices with the purchase of solutions for the Royal Hospital at a value of 363,170 Omani riyals, renewing a contract for the maintenance of ventilators and anesthesia devices for the Ministry of Health at a value of 336,406 Omani riyals, installing air conditioning control systems to save electricity consumption for a number of colleges at Sultan Qaboos University at a value of 310,020 Omani riyals, renting a building for office use for a number of directorates and departments affiliated with the Ministry of Health at a value of 210,659 Omani riyals, supplying and installing medical equipment (neurosurgery) at a value of 149,686 Omani riyals, providing maintenance services for ear, nose and throat devices and ophthalmology devices in various hospitals at a value of 100,468 Omani riyals, upgrading the electronic decreasing system and renewing the operation and maintenance contract at a value of 936,566 Omani riyals.
During its meeting, the Council approved the provision of maintenance services for echocardiography and ultrasound devices in various Ministry of Health hospitals at a cost of 276,122 Omani riyals, management and maintenance of facilities in the Omani Plant and Tree Garden project at a cost of 274,368 Omani riyals, replacement of external lighting for the current columns with LED lighting at Sultan Qaboos University at a cost of 194,996 Omani riyals, and renewal of the lease contract for the Courts Complex building in Seeb at a cost of 190,914 Omani riyals. The Council also approved additional works for the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and civil maintenance at Sultan Qaboos University, worth 5 million, 253 thousand and 960 Omani riyals, additional works for the project to build a flood protection dam in the Al-Jufaina area in the Wilayat of Al-Amerat in the Governorate of Muscat, worth 1 million, 619 thousand and 616 Omani riyals, additional works for the tender for the maintenance of asphalt roads in the Governorate of Dhofar for a period of five years, worth 1 million, 414 thousand and 151 Omani riyals, additional works to provide peritoneal dialysis supplies to the Ministry of Health, worth 950 thousand and 2 Omani riyals, additional works for the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and civil maintenance at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, worth 659 thousand and 195 Omani riyals, and additional works to provide cleaning and pest control services at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, worth 637 thousand and 451 Omani riyals.
The Council assigned additional works to provide consultancy services to prepare the structural plan for Greater Muscat at a value of 495,971 Omani riyals, additional works for consultancy services for the development and supervision of the fishing port in the Wilayat of Dibba at a value of 405,026 Omani riyals, additional works for the dirt road maintenance project in the mountainous areas of Dhofar Governorate for a period of five years at a value of 400,000 Omani riyals, additional works for the project to upgrade the efficiency of Madha Health Center in Musandam Governorate to become the new Madha Hospital at a value of 395,166 Omani riyals, additional works and extension of the project to establish administrative and service buildings at the fishing port in the Al-Halaniyyat Islands at a value of 324,618 Omani riyals, and additional works to develop, implement, host and support the electronic health portal at 200,445 Omani riyals.
During its meeting, the Council also assigned additional works for the dirt road maintenance project in the desert areas of Dhofar Governorate for a period of five years at a value of 199,920 Omani riyals, additional works to develop, implement, host and support the medical fitness examination system of the Ministry of Health at a value of 181,047 Omani riyals, additional works to provide information system operation and maintenance services at the Directorate General of Information Technology of the Ministry of Health at a value of 261,954 Omani riyals, additional works to provide maintenance services for ophthalmic devices and microscopes in various hospitals of the Ministry of Health at a value of 100,468 Omani riyals, renewal of the contract to rent a high-performance liquid chromatography device under the contract to purchase solutions and consumables for the Royal Hospital at a value of 89,831 Omani riyals, extension of the provision of programmers for the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Education at a value of 52,800 Omani riyals, and additional works to provide technicians to operate and maintain devices and equipment at Sohar Hospital and units affiliated with the Ministry of Health in North Al Batinah Governorate at a value of 14,000 And 591 Omani riyals.
