With more than 93 million Omani riyals, the Tender Board awards additional projects and works


At its sixth meeting, headed by His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Tender Board, the Tender Board awarded a number of projects and additional works complementary to development projects in various fields, with a total value estimated at 93 million and 47 thousand and 55 Omani riyals.

The work that the Council agreed to assign and approve during its meeting included the provision of catering, nutrition, hygiene, laundry and pest control services to hospitals, complexes and health centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health in various governorates of the Sultanate, at a value of 59 million, 980 thousand and 184 Omani riyals, and the design and implementation of 13 schools in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, at a value of 26 million. And 780 thousand Omani riyals. The Council assigned works to renovate and rehabilitate parts of the taxiways and aprons at Muscat International Airport at a value of 3,939,888 Omani Riyals, provide housing for students of Sultan Qaboos University at a value of 1,648,080 Omani Riyals, and implement the Government Leadership Program at a value of 338,919 Omani Riyals.

A Microsoft software license agreement was also awarded to Sultan Qaboos University at a value of 168,305 Omani Riyals, additional work to rehabilitate and treat roads affected by weather conditions in the state of Rakhyut at a value of 67,078 Omani Riyals, and final works for consulting services for the design and supervision of the Barka-Nakhl Road Duplication Project in the South Governorate. Al-Batinah, worth 65,000 Omani Riyals, and additional work to provide consulting services to supervise the asphalt road construction project in the Wilayat of Madha, worth 59,600 Omani Riyals.​
