Muscat Governorate, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Tender Board, is hosting the First Governors’ Ambassadors Forum from May 20 to 22, as part of efforts to enhance institutional integration and exchange expertise among various government entities.
The forum is attended by a number of specialists and professionals in the fields of project management and administrative procedure governance from the offices of the governors across the Sultanate of Oman.
The forum aims to build effective communication channels between relevant entities and exchange best practices in contracts, tenders, and project management. This contributes to supporting balanced development paths and achieving governmental integration at the governorate level. It also provides an opportunity to review key projects implemented in Muscat Governorate.
The forum's program includes an official opening followed by a series of specialized sessions and workshops. On the second day, participants will take part in a field visit to explore vital projects in Muscat Governorate, aiming to link theoretical knowledge with practical application and enhance on-the-ground knowledge sharing.
On the third day, the forum will conclude with the presentation of specialized working papers by experts from Muscat Governorate and the General Secretariat of the Tender Board.
The forum represents an opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of local staff and develop the working tools of governorates' offices in line with the direction of empowering governorates to exercise broader powers under a decentralized framework. This contributes to achieving balanced and sustainable development across the various governorates.
